//TRAVEL// NEW ORLEANS

Since forever traveling has been something I treasure.  Anytime we can slip away for a bit I am completely satisfied.  I don’t care where we are going I just like to explore and see new things.  This past week we traveled to New Orleans for Hunter’s annual work conference.  I had been to New Orleans one other time to board a cruise ship but I never really gotten to see the city.  This trip was a very sweet surprise, New Orleans had so much to offer and so many personalities.  I was delighted by all the corners of the city and all the faces that so proudly call New Orleans home.

The food had to be up there as some of the best we have ever had.   We went to Stanley for a late brunch.  This place was recommended by a local so we couldn’t pass it up.  They served us some of the best eggs benedict in the land, bacon and cheese grits, and creole breakfast potatoes with a pancake for dessert.  Right down the street was the famous Cafe Du Monde so we couldn’t pass up their Beignets and Coffee Au Lait.  We went right in and sat ourselves where we were quickly served our Beignets.  I heard later that day that the line was wrapped around the building so I was thankful we went when we did.

Any excuse to purchase a mask was totally ok with me and the last night of the conference there was a Masquerade Ball so of course we went exploring for the perfect mask.  My sister-in-law and I picked up a really fun feathered mask which I shared on Instagram Stories the night of.  Hunter landed on a mask that revealed half of his pretty face, thankfully he did not wear this scary thing captured above.  My brother-in-law wore an American flag mask (a man after my own heart ???).

New Orleans is to good and doesn’t get enough credit for all the good things happening there.  I wanted to bundle up all the personalities and dump them in my city.  Of course there is craziness, which we dipped our toe in, but you can also enjoy some of the best food, drinks and music in this country.  Until next time NOLA!

xx Kelsea
